about

During my first years in the Puerto Viejo area I played 2 to 3 nights a week at the old El Loco Natural, a beautifully funky little haven overlooking the center of town and the black sand beach just a block or so away. A decided favorite of visiting turistas and locals alike, the Loco served up a great assortment of delicious original natural food, cold cervezas and bibidas, and live music all year round. The food and spirit live on down the road at Stashu's, but the old Loco remains sadly missed in Old Harbor and has left me, along with a lot of the other residents here, with many fond memories of good times there. Many thanks to Carter, Pamela and Stash for welcoming me into the community of music lovers they created at their little night spot. The basic tracks for this tune were cut there, live at the Loco, and will hopefully keep those memories alive in Puerto V.
